The Farmhouse

We welcome our guests to our Le Marche farmhouse rebuilt and completely restored on its ancient foundations, using many original materials such as the ancient oak beams and century-old handmade bricks.

The characteristic terracotta colour of the brick building is typical of the hills of Macerata and reflects the warm tones of the earth which supplied the bricks and blends harmoniously with the center of the estate of ten acres of land cultivated with olive trees using mostly organic methods.

One of the architectural qualities of the house, much appreciated by our guests, is the large South facing terrace, which allows you to enjoy the surrounding nature in every season and invites you to spend pleasant moments in the company.

A tranquil oasis for your Italy farm holiday

The Le Marche farmhouse commands an elevated hillside position, overlooking our mature garden full of plants, flowers, bushes, trees and fragrant herbs. The Le Marche B&B that originally dates back to 1782 has a landscaped garden with a swimming pool, a pond, hammocks and al fresco eating areas. You are welcome to help yourself to the fruit and nut trees that include Fig, Plum, Cherry, Damson, Peach & Apricot trees, walnut, hazel and almonds. The Italian farm has panoramic views of the surrounding scenery and the olive grove; which we harvest in November to produce one of the finest extra virgin olive oils.

Agriturismo Fontechiara is located in Treia in the province of Macerata in the region of Le Marche in central Italy. We offer B&B or bed and breakfast holidays or for lovers of slow food there is a half board option. A vacation at Fontechiara allows you to sample ecotourism, locally grown food, our own organic produce, home cooking and great Le Marche wines in a restored farmhouse with stylishly furnished rooms and excellent facilities including a swimming pool.
